While serving as president of the Board of Trustees, Pete Griffith P’00, 03 implemented many initiatives at La Salle that are still active today. By making the school part of his estate plan, Pete is ensuring he will continue to foster growth and excellence at the school far into the future.

As the parent of two graduates, Pete knows firsthand the strong sense of community and parental engagement La Salle fosters. He wanted his kids to receive a Catholic co-education, so he chose La Salle. The results, he says, were even better than he expected.

“La Salle was able to give my kids the opportunity that I really wanted, both academically and socially,” he says. “Looking back, I’m even prouder that I made the decision to take my kids to La Salle. I knew they would be successful, but they matured in a way that I always hoped they would, if not better.”

As a member of the Board of Regents, Pete remains involved in La Salle today. By including the school in his estate plan, he is ensuring future generations enjoy the same opportunities his children enjoyed. He encourages other parents, alumni, and friends of La Salle to do likewise.

“I encourage everyone to support La Salle College Preparatory and uphold the quality level of education and experience they are offering today,” Pete says. “We are still the only Catholic co-ed school in the area, with Pathway programs you won’t find in other schools. I’ve always felt like a part of the school, and that was always important as a parent.”
